The White Mule
Local lore speaks of the legend of a mule ghost haunting the Park City mines… The miners believed, and to help you do the same, we’ve come up with this twist on a Moscow Mule:
1.Midnight Moon Moonshine, ginger juice, soda
2. Cane sugar syrup and lime
3. Liquor: 1.25 oz Midnight Moon Moonshine
4. 1 oz. fresh ginger base
5. Approximately 2 oz. club soda
Combine moonshine and ginger base in a 11-12 oz highball glass full of ice. Top with soda and stir.
Garnish: lime wedge
Fresh ginger juice:
1. 1# ginger root, peeled and cut into 1” chunks
2. 2C water divided
3. Puree ginger with 1 1/3 C water
4. Press through a fine sieve, saving pulp.
5. Puree pulp from first pressing with 2/3 C water.
6. Strain again and discard pulp.
Cane sugar syrup:
1. 1 C organic cane sugar
2. 1 C water
3. Combine in a sauce pan and heat until sugar dissolves. Cool
1. 1 C ginger juice
2. ¾ C cane sugar syrup
3. ½ C fresh lime juice
4. ½ C water
