The Forbes Five-Star Stein Eriksen Lodge holiday display, now in its 22nd year, features a 12-foot-long gingerbread firetruck for guests and visitors to admire. Constructed by Executive Pastry Chef Jeremy Garcia and his team of pastry artists, the firetruck is parked alongside the 32-foot-tall Christmas tree as part of the Lodge’s festive holiday décor.

Stein Eriksen Lodge Gingerbread Fire TruckStanding five feet tall, four feet wide, and 12 feet long, the festive firetruck includes 190 pounds of gingerbread, 120 pounds of icing, 10 pounds of chocolate, 400 egg whites, and three total pounds of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. “Firetrucks have a way of lighting up the child in all of us – the awe, inspiration, and nostalgia – and we’re excited to bring it to life for the holiday season,” said Chef Garcia. “This also serves as a great opportunity to partner with our local fire department and honor our brave firefighters for their incredibly selfless service.”

Former gingerbread presentations have included an ornate gingerbread village, along with movie scenes from Home AloneStar Wars, PeanutsFrozenDespicable Me 2, and Harry Potter, and detailed models of a retro-styled rocket ship, Norwegian Viking ship, whimsical carousel, the Eiffel Tower, and the Empire State Building.
